A suspected armed robbery attack at Fiapre in the Bono Region has left one person dead and another in critical condition after gunmen targeted a mobile money (MoMo) vendor.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, has thrown the community into shock as residents continue to grapple with the increasing wave of violent attacks on mobile money operators across the country.
According to initial reports, the armed robbers stormed the MoMo vending point and opened fire during the attack. One victim sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead, while another victim suffered critical injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a health facility.
The assailants reportedly fled the scene after the shooting, although details regarding the amount of money or valuables stolen have not yet been confirmed.
